No more denial, it's really a boy!
After a terrible experience at our first medical ultrasound at Bolingbrook Hospital, we were not 100% sure that this baby was a boy. That ultrasound was on February 9th. I have been trying to be patient, waiting as long as I possibly could to go back to The Belly Factory for another 3D ultrasound. Yesterday I realized that I just couldn't wait any longer. So I had an appointment today. Being the most impatient person ever, I think I did pretty good waiting! So now a little over 24 weeks, there was no mistaking his 'boy parts'. So after we determined the sex, we started trying for a good picture of his face. This was no easy task, he was facing my back. After about 15 minutes of taking pictures of the back of his head, I was given a piece of chocolate (for a mini sugar rush), and then I got up for a little walk and stretch. When I laid back down, sure enough, he was ready for his photo shoot! Facing the right direction we only had to battle an arm in his face. He was awake at the point so it didn't take long for him to move it out of the way. It was amazing seeing his face more defined. I really think you can already see some of Oden's facial features in him! It's all very exciting! Only about 15 weeks to go before he's here in person. I can hardly wait!!
